Paul Weller - Early Morning Rain

this is paul weller’s cover of a gordon lightfoot song .

it could have ended in tears of the very wrong kind . but no . weller makes a marvellous job of it .

eight great verses . standard tuning .

the most difficult part is to get a nice lilting rhythm on it , including the
little roll on and off the E major to Esus4 at the end of each alternate line .
