i haven’t found these chords anywhere on internet . i needed the chords for my
english class with spanish primary school students . they love this song , so i had to
transcribe it so they can sing it along with the original english version and me playing
over it with my electric guitar . it looks like a lot of fun for them . so here it is for
anyone who might need to use it too .
first verse , C – 7 with G on the bass could be played as D# , but G on bass , on A D# triad
does not sound good at all . the same stands for the A# – 7 chord and the F on the bass
. it could be played as C# triad with same result; it does not sound fine .
the last part of the theme ( from G# and so on ) i play it with no roots . if you play it
with a bass player , let him do it . so basically i play the fifth chord tone on fifth string ,
tonic on fourth and the third chord tone on third string . then i finish with the
G# final chord playing root on sixth string and vibrating the whole chord with the
tremolo bar ( whammy bar ) until stop . i sounds pretty good this way . of course , you
will need some distortion ( although not too much ) .
the song is on G# major but it could be that , because the arrangement has a brass
section ( instruments on A# and D# ) , the original guitar player might be tuning the
guitar a half tone lower ( D# tuning on sixth string ) and then playing the song on A
major .
