the trick here is that funky upstroke/Downstroke strumming pattern which is probably the
only difficult part to playing this song . the upstroke/Downstroke is on an F#m barre
chord , and the trick is to alternate between lifting your index finger off and then
placing it back on the fret ( listen to the song for timing ) . other than that , it’s all fairly
simple chords . it sounds like courtney love is probably playing an open a chord on that
main riff , while eric erlandson’s playing a barre chord . note that during the bridge
( the “do you fake it for me” part ) , there is one guitar quietly strumming the chords and
another one playing arpeggios .
