this is in C , which is different from the album .
also , you can play it two slightly different ways . if you are playing in a band use A
instead of Em .
[ C ] who’s going to tell you [ Em/B ] when it’s [ C ] too late [ Em/B ]
[ C ] who’s going to tell you [ Em/B ] things aren’t [ C ] so great [ Em/B ]
[ Am ] you can’t go [ D/A ] on thinking
[ Am ] nothing’s [ D/A ] wrong
[ C/G ] who’s going to drive you [ F6/C ] home to – [ C ] night [ Em/B ]
[ C ] [ Em/B ] [ C ] [ Em/B ]
repeats a bunch
some notes on playing this . first , the verse is just switching between C and Cmaj7 , but
you are playing solo acoustic it will probably sound better by switching between A C and
you will still be playing the same notes , just at different intervals . anyways , it makes
shift sound more distinctly .
also , stay off the high E string . it sounds a little out of place , hence the weird D/a chord .
another thing is that some people might say the F6/C is wrong . it’s not , but it might
off some people’s singing . so just play a regular G instead if you don’t like it .
chords :
