this is an acoustic arrangement of alkaline trio’s new song ’off the map’ .
due to a leak , the new album ’this addiction’ got put onto youtube and i
just loved this song out of all of them . i do feel guilty listening to it
before the release date but i Am still buying it when it comes out .
i think this is one of dan andriano’s best so far and i hope you enjoy
playing it . you’ll have to find a way to listen to the song ( or just wait
till it’s out ) to get the rhythm right , it’s pretty straight forward
though . i worked this all out by ear , so no primary sources or copying .

* important *
the chords used in this song are shown below ,
as i think the highlight chord diagrams are incorrect a lot of the time .
i’ve put in a few variations of each chord too , including power chords for
you acoustic rockers out there , and open string chords which sound
very pretty , kind of sounds like A 12 string .
don’t play the strings marked with an ’x’

this song has two guitars in the interlude parts , rhythm , playing power
chords , and lead , playing octave chords . i’ve arranged it so you can play it
on one guitar , though some bits may be a bit of a stretch . i’ve put in
the power chords the rhythm guitar plays above the tab , so if you find
the tab too stretchy then you can just miss it out and play the power chords .

this can also work as an intro if you’re doing an acoustic cover of it ,
so you don’t have to do that weird harmonic bit at the start .
